Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, who visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) two days ago, spoke at the Ministerial Meeting of the Organization of Turkic States.
His message was simple “It is time to recognize the TRNC”.
Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak called for the recognition of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the 7th Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Youth and Sports of the Organization of Turkic States in Azerbaijan.
Reminding that he had carried out contacts in the TRNC prior to moving on the Azerbaijan, Bak said, “We strongly support the two-state solution model put forward by the TRNC President Ersin Tatar. As our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated at the United Nations General Assembly in September, it is time to recognize the TRNC.”
Bak also said that OTS is a strongly united organisation and added “We believe that the OTS will show the power of Turks to the whole world while solving many international problems.”
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu also took part in the meeting.
